WHY ATTEND?:
Research shows that Science and other content related instruction improves Literacy learning! Teachers, Teacher Leaders, and Administrators from all districts across the State of Michigan and beyond are invited to join us while we explore the impact, context, and practice of cross-disciplinary Literacy. Facilitators are teacher leaders and educators from around the state with a ratio of about one facilitator to every ten teachers for continual network support.
PURPOSE/VISION:
The vision of the MIELA Network is to build statewide capacity to address the literacy demands of the Michigan Content Standards through a sustainable multi-year state network of K-12 teachers. Participants will grow their own learning around curriculum, instruction, and assessment for the purpose of supporting the learning of colleagues and students.

LOGISTICS:
- The institutes will be held virtually this year through the Pheedloop Virtual Platform - June 23, and 24, 2021 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. You can start logging into the virtual conference platform by 8:30 each day.
- The cost is $80 per participant to attend both days of the 2021 MiELA Network Institute.
- SCECH's will be available.
